Seasonal Vaccinations

Key information on the benefits of the flu vaccine can be found via the NHS England website.

  • In line with NHS regulations only pregnant women and child flu vaccinations can be given from 1st September 2024.  
  • All other cohorts are to receive vaccinations from the 3rd October 2024 start date.
  • We will be holding a flu clinic on the 6th of October at Surbiton health centre.
  • No flu vaccines will be given at the surgery before this date.
  • Appointments for flu vaccines at the surgery after the 6th will be limited.
  • Housebound patients will be contacted in due course.

Key information on the benefits of the COVID-19 vaccination can be found via the NHS England website.

  • Hopefully we will be getting Covid vaccines before the 6th of October.
  • If we do get Covid vaccines before the 6th we will be offering Covid jabs with the flu jab.
  • At this time, we don’t know what type of Covid vaccine we will be getting.

Key information on the benefits of the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine can be found via the NHS England website.

  • The surgery has yet to be supplied with any stock of the RSV vaccine so are currently not offering it to patients.
  • When we do receive stocks, you will be contacted if you are eligible.
  • You cannot have the RSV vaccine at the same time as a flu jab. The vaccines have the be 24 hours apart.

2024 RSV ELIGIBILITY

Infant Protection

(via pregnant women)

All pregnant women from 28 weeks' gestation.

These will be offered by the hospital rather than GP practices.

Older Adults

Adults turning 75 years old on or after 1 September 2024 until their 80th birthday.

Adults already aged 75 to 79 years on 1 September 2024 until their 80th birthday (or until 31 August 2025 if they have their 80th birthday within the first year of the programme).
